The Happy HSP Podcast

I was invited to speak with Kimberly Marsh recently, the host of The Happy HSP podcast. I’d love to know your reflections on this.

We talked about the ache of loneliness and longing for deeper connection as highly sensitive people, and how we can find belonging in community with other HSPs as this gives us the courage and validation to be our authentic selves. Read more and listen here…

Sensitive and Strong Podcast

I had the honour of being invited onto the Sensitive and Strong podcast by Annet van Duinen. This podcast is a must-listen for HSPs looking to embrace their sensitivity. Annet shares empowering insights and practical strategies to help highly sensitive people navigate the world with strength and authenticity.

In this episode, I discuss why community is essential for HSPs and how to build a strong, supportive HSP community. I also share some of my personal thinking and values  behind creating HSPconnect and how it serves as a space where HSPs can truly thrive together.

I hope you enjoy it.

The Gentle Rebel Podcast

Many people feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or powerless in a world grappling with climate crises, political instability, and societal upheaval. But what if there was a way to process these emotions and transform them into meaningful action? This is the premise of “The Work That Reconnects” and Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We’re in with Unexpected Resilience and Creative Power, developed by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnson. These tools invite us to explore our emotional responses to the world, shift our perspectives, and find meaningful ways forward.

In this episode of Andy Mort’s The Gentle Rebel Podcast, I was invited to chat with Andy about these topics. I shared several practices for staying anchored as we navigate the pressing complexity of our times.

Entering The Era of The Sensitive Person

Cindy interviewed by Amisha Ghadiali for All That We Are. “There’s a whole range of ways that highly sensitive people can show up in the consulting room in a negative way. There are also huge benefits to being highly sensitive. To live within an 80% society of people who are not highly sensitive we need to become very aware of the highly sensitive trait.” ~ Cindy Barnes

There are two kinds of vulnerability factors that can fill our jar: genetic factors & environmental factors. In order to feel physically and emotionally well, our wellness jar must not be filled to the top.
