Cindy Gale

About Cindy

I believe you have the answers you seek inside of yourself. My role is to help you discover yourself in a new way, to find those wise answers that are right for you.

This process may be messy and uncomfortable. Sometimes we may laugh together and other times cry. We will have real conversations and will focus on helping you to live more fully and to truly flourish.

I’m a highly sensitive person (HSP) and I’ve been a therapist since 2006. I’ve been a client too and therapy has changed my life. That’s why I’m so passionate about it.

I’m a highly trained psychotherapist but I’m a person first. While my training is important, THE most important thing is the relationship I build with each person.

Here are a few of the ways I’ve been trained.

I honour the lineage of my training through my significant teachers & mentors by naming them here.

  • Transactional analysis is a method that helps people become aware of the dynamics in their interactions with themselves, and each other to solve emotional and relationship hurdles with compassion. • Transpersonal and spiritual training in nature-based and animist traditions – from the Dagara tradition, Burkina Faso, West Africa; teacher & mentor, Dr Malidoma Patrice Some – from the English tradition; Deena O’Brien, and my mother, who was a traditional West Country healer.
  • Ecopsychology connects people back to nature and back to themselves, and has been proven to help with depression and anxiety, including eco-distress. Teachers & mentors – Joanna Macy, Garri Wiest, Mary-Jane Rust, Dave Key, Climate Psychology Alliance.

I am a Certified Transactional Analyst, have a Post Graduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling and an MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.

As a white woman, I am committed to anti-racism and decolonialisation work.

I’m registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis and I abide by their strict codes of ethics and professional practise.

Let's talk about work.

The world of business holds particular stresses that need navigating well. I understand this world. I worked in business for 35 years and have been a director of a large multinational. I hold an MBA, have written two best selling business books, and I coach business leaders. I describe myself as a recovering high achiever.

I understand overwhelm and burnout well. I work with people helping them through the fear that often comes with a decision to move away from well paid but very stressful work. I support people to navigate their careers to something that’s more in alignment with their whole selves. That may involve a change of role, and a move to self-employment or entrepreneurship.
